Abstract

Rail weld is one of the most complex structures in railway lines,and the wheel-rail force char-acteristics at the weld are significantly different from those in other areas.Based on wheel-rail force moni-toring data at the rail weld of a high-speed passenger line,this study analyzes the wheel-rail force charac-teristics of different train speeds and carriage positions.The nonlinear chaos theory is introduced to carry out microscopic analysis of the wheel-rail force at the rail weld,enabling the multi-level analysis of the wheel-rail force characteristics.The results show that the changes in the flatness of the running surface and the guiding surface at the rail weld are 0.174 mm and 0.370 mm,respectively.Under this line con-dition,there are differences in the wheel-rail force characteristics of different passage speeds,and the most unfavorable train speed at the rail weld is 200~220 km/h.There are also differences of the wheel-rail force characteristics in different carriage positions,and the wheel weight reduction rate of the front and rear carriages is 1.261 times greater than that of other carriages.Furthermore,the correlation dimen-sion is introduced for microscopic analysis of the wheel-rail force at the welds under various operating con-ditions,validating the macroscopic wheel-rail force characteristics.The wheel-rail force characteristics at the rail weld are comprehensively evaluated from macro and micro aspects.
