英国运河的遗产化历程与保护模式:以比斯顿运河为例
Historical Process and Conservation Patterns of Canal Heritagisation in the UK:A Case Study of Beeston Cut

Abstract
This study delves into the construction and development of British canals,dividing the process of canal heritagisation into four stages based on principles,stakeholders and subjects.It summarises the recognition and conservation principles of the heritage values of canals,balancing Outstanding Universal Value(OUV),regionality,multi-layered characteristics and sensitivity.The conservation of British canal heritage reflects the country's historical context,socio-cultural dynamics and management approaches.From the late 19th century,canal culture was disseminated through literary works.After World War Ⅱ,efforts were made to nationalise waterways and establish protective frameworks,with ongoing regeneration practices continuing to the present day.The paper focuses on the spatial strategies of canal heritage conservation,selects the Beeston Cut in Nottingham as a case study based on historical context and spatial perspectives and analyses the relationship between canals and urban space.Drawing from historical study and fieldwork,the study interprets the concept of"Making Life Better by Water"by the Canal & River Trust.It explores how this concept can be reflected in the conservation of the heritage of the Beeston Cut.The study summarises the conservation patterns of planning orientation,system support and place renewal,which is expected to provide a reference for the adaptive conservation of China's canal heritage,realising the integration of historical,ecological,social and economic values,and promoting the sustainable renewal of the human environment.关键词
