Abstract
CeO2 nanocubes with(100)facet preferentially exposed and CeO2 nanopolyhedra with(111)facet preferentially exposed were synthesized via a hydrothermal method.Subsequently,FeKCe catalysts were prepared through a wet granulation method by utilizing the CeO2 nanocubes and nanopolyhedra as the CeO2 sources.The crystal structure,morphology,and exposed facets were characterized by XRD,SEM,HADDF-STEM,Raman,XPS,and H2-TPR,and surface properties and reduction properties of the catalysts were investigated.The experimental results reveal that the crystal structures,surface properties,and average grain sizes of the two catalysts whose main exposed facets are CeO2(100)and CeO2(111),respectively,are highly similar.In comparison to that of the KxFeyOz-CeO2(111)catalyst,the corresponding reduction peak of the KxFeyOz-CeO2(100)catalyst is observed to shift towards lower temperatures,and the catalyst is easily reduced.In addition,it exhibits superior reactivity in the ethylbenzene dehydrogenation,with an increased ethylbenzene conversion of 1.8 percentage points and a concomitant reduction in styrene selectivity by 1.0 percentage point.关键词
