NISO Recommended Practice on Retraction and Enlightenment
摘要
Abstract
Academic papers may be retracted by journals due to reasons such as containing errors or being involved in academic misconduct.However,in practice,retracted academic papers often remain visible and searchable,and continue to be cited as valid and credible research content by researchers and the public who are unaware of the retraction,leading to the unintentional dissemination of retracted papers.How to reduce the academic influence of retracted papers through a standardized process has become an important issue for purifying the academic environment.The National Information Standards Organization(NISO)issues a recommended practice,NISO RP-45-2024,in 2024,which provides a series of recommendations on the dissemination of information on retraction,removal,and expressions of concern.With an in-depth analysis on the development background and content characteristics of NISO RP-45-2024,this paper proposes recommendations on the retraction standardization in China based on the problems in the retraction process in China.关键词
