Abstract

Following a period of over a decade of development,the China Railway Express(CR Express)has achieved considerable success,becoming a flagship project in the construction of the"Belt and Road".The east,middle,and west channels of the CR Express exhibit distinct characteristics.However,the middle channel,which enters and leaves the country through the port of Erlian,is falling behind in overall operational scale compared to the other routes.In order to align with the high-quality development phase of the China Railway Express,this paper adopted a systematic approach centered around the port of Erlian.The paper examined the efficient coordination between the port,hub,and channels,focusing on both physical infrastructure and logistical networks.Utilising data analysis and comparative research methods,the paper reviewed recent practices at the port of Erlian and the CR Express middle channel to enhance hub efficiency and streamline channel operations.It delved into deep-seated issues hindering channel development and provides strategic recommendations on how to leverage the characteristics of the middle channel to further improve quality and efficiency.This analysis provides a framework for enhancing the construction of hubs and channels,thereby optimising the strategic role of both the Port of Erlian and the CR Express middle channel.
