Restorative materials in digital dentistry:current situa-tion and prospect
摘要
Abstract
The rapid advancement of digital technology has profoundly impacted the field of dentistry,particularly in the development of dental materials and the manufacturing processes for dental restorations.With the aid of subtractive manufacturing(SM),dental restorations made from ceramic and metal materials have been widely applied in clinical prac-tice due to their excellent mechanical properties,which result in favorable mid-to long-term clinical outcomes.Additive manufacturing(AM)technologies,with their higher material utilization efficiency,demonstrate significant potential for fu-ture applications.However,the comprehensive properties of materials used in AM,as well as their clinical applicability,still require further exploration and research.This review dis-cusses the current research and applications of SM and AM in dental restorative materials,analyzing the properties and fu-ture development trends of various restorative materials such as polymethyl methacrylate(PMMA),high-performance poly-mers,composite resins,ceramics,and metals.关键词
