Abstract
Objective To explore the effect of methylprednisolone adjuvant therapy on ovarian reserve function and pregnancy rate in clomiphene-resistant polycystic ovary syndrome(PCOS)infertile patientsn. Methods A total of 100 PCOS infertility patients admitted to Longhua District Maternal and Child Health Hospital of Shenzhen City from January 2020 to December 2022 were randomly divided into observation group and control group, with 50 cases in each group. The control group was treated with letrozole+estradiol valerate+choriotropin, and the observation group was treated with methylprednisolone on the basis of the control group.Ovarian reserve function(endometrial thickness, ovarian volume and maximum follicle diameter),clinical pregnancy rate, levels of sex hormones[estradiol(E2),luteinizing hormone(LH)and follicle-stimulating hormone(FSH)]and incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results Following treatment, the observation group exhibited superior ovarian reserve function and sex hormone levels compared to the control group(P<0.05).A significantly higher clinical pregnancy rate was observed in the observation group,at 64.00%(32/50),versus 34.00%(17/50)in the control group(χ2=9.004,P=0.003).As for adverse reactions, although the observation group had a lower incidence rate, the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).Conclusion For clomiphene-resistant PCOS infertile patients, the use of methylprednisolone as an adjuvant therapy can effectively enhance the ovarian reserve function, increase the success rate of clinical pregnancy, and contribute to the optimization of the level of sex hormones,as well as demonstrating a good safety of the drug.关键词
