Abstract

Salt tolerance during germination is an important factor restricting the application of mung bean germplasm in saline-alkali soil.The 68 salt tolerance mung bean germplasm resources was evaluated and screened with NaCl solution.The results showed that there were extremely significant differences in ten indexes between the treatment groups and the control group(P<0.001),such as germination potential,germination rate and germ length.The salt tolerance coefficients of the ten indexes were correlated to different degrees(R2 ranged from-0.120 to 0.947).Principal component analysis converted ten individual indexes into three comprehensive indexes,and the tested materials were divided into three categories according to the strength of salt tolerance through comprehensive evaluation of salt tolerance and cluster analysis,of which 25 materials were high salt tolerance types,20 materials were moderately salt tolerance types,and 23 materials were salt sensitive types.The salt tolerance evaluation model of mung bean at germination stage was established by step-to-step regression,and seven indexes including fresh weight,vigor index,germination potential,germination rate,radicle length and fresh weight of germ were selected,which can be used for rapid evaluation and prediction of salt tolerance of different mung bean germplasm resources.
