摘要

Abstract

Based on the Green Technology Patent Classification System of the China National Intellectual Property Administration,which is divided into 3 categories,namely,oil and gas clean-up,clean energy,greenhouse gas capture,utilization,and storage.Further,they are divided into 15 technical subcategories.By utilizing the incoPat patent information analysis platform,this paper analyzes the distribution of green technology patent applications and categories among 10 domestic and foreign petroleum companies,including bp,Total Energy,ExxonMobil,Shell,ConocoPhillips,Chevron,Saudi Aramco,CNPC,Sinopec,and CNOOC.It compares their R&D dynamics,technological innovation capability,market layout,the overall value reflecting patent quality,litigation,and high citation status.Chinese oil companies have a greater advantage in the quantity of green technology patents.However,the high degree of concentration in technology fields and the low percentage of high-quality patents are insufficient for competitiveness,and they are more confined to the domestic market in terms of patent market layout with a weak strategic awareness of overseas market expansion.It is recommended to strengthen strategic planning to facilitate enterprise development through patents,improve the quality of patents and build an effective patent portfolio,focus on investment opportunities and risks,and reasonably deploy domestic and overseas patents markets.
