摘要
Abstract
Ectopic thyroid refers to the condition in which the thyroid gland does not descend to its normal position during embryonic development,but instead is located anywhere along the pathway of its descent or at a distant site.Ectopic thyroid in the adrenal gland is extremely rare.On January 26,2024,a 20-year-old female patient with ectopic thyroid cystic change in the adrenal gland was admitted to the hospital.The patient was referred after"right adrenal mass detected during a physical examination for over a month."Abdominal color Doppler ultrasound from an outside hospital suggested a cystic mass in the right adrenal area,suspected to be an adrenal cyst.Upon admission,the patient underwent laparoscopic adrenal lesion resection and sent for pathologic examination.The pathological diagnosis was ectopic thyroid cystic change in the adrenal gland.The patient then underwent laparoscopic adrenal lesion resection,laparoscopic periadrenal adhesion lysis,and retroperitoneal drainage.Post-surgery,a thyroid ultrasound at our hospital showed no clear malignant tumor changes.Follow-up until March 1,2024,showed no significant abnormalities on ultrasound,and further follow-up will be conducted to monitor long-term prognosis.关键词
