摘要

Abstract

Objective:To explore the correlation between malondialdehyde(MDA),glutathione peroxidase(GSH-Px)and type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM).Methods:Using the case-control study method,243 patients with T2DM were selected as the case group and 243 non-T2DM participants were selected as the control group from the baseline population with chronic disease in Ganzhou City.The contents of MDA and GSH-Px in serum were detected,and paired T-test,non-parametric test and multi-factor conditional Logistics regression analysis were performed.Results:There were no statistical significance between the 2 groups in profession,marital status,level of education,years of residence,medical payment situation,history of heart disease;family history of hypertension;family history of heart disease(P>0.05).Statistically significant differences were found between the two groups with regard to hypertension and diabetes family history(P<0.05).There was statistical significance between the 2 groups in milk and dairy products intake;soybeans and nuts intake,grain intake,intake of food from animals(P<0.05).No significant difference in vegetable intake(P>0.05).The results of non-parametric test showed that MDA in case group was higher than that in control group,and GSH-Px activity value was lower than that in control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The results of multi-factor conditional Logistic regression analysis showed that low MDA and high GSH-Px were associated with reduced risk of T2DM(OR=1.097,95%CI:1.010-1.191;OR=0.996,95%CI:0.995-0.998).Conclusion:In T2DM patients,there is a decrease or increase in GSH-Px activity and an increase in MDA level,and low and high levels of MDA and GSH-Px may be associated with a decrease in the prevalence of T2DM.
