Abstract

Combined with the need of risk assessment and accurate control of petroleum contaminated sites,the study on factors affecting volatile organic compounds(VOCs)volatilization behavior was carried out in a contaminated site in Gansu Province.The volatilization of benzene series(BTEXs)was simulated,and the volatile trends and volatile fluxes of benzene,ethylbenzene and M-p-xylene were obtained under different temperature,rainfall,light and wind speed.The results showed that under the same conditions,the volatile flux of BTEX in soil was:benzene>ethylbenzene>M-xylene.The temperature had a significant effect on the volatile rate of BTEXs in soil,but has no significant effect on the total volatile amount.The higher the temperature,the greater the volatile flux in the initial time,and the flux decreases gradually with the change of time.The volatile of BTEX in soil was negatively correlated with rainfall.The increase of rainfall would reduce the concentration and volatile flux of BTEXs in soil,and there was no significant change in the trend of volatile flux during the measured time.In the range of 1~3 m³/h,the volatile flux of benzene in soil increased with the increase of air velocity.Benzene series was easy to undergo photochemical reaction in ambient air,and the volatile of benzene series was accelerated under the action of light.
