Abstract

With the development of social economy and the increase of industrial and agricultural water use,the area of lakes has decreased significantly,and the number of lakes has shown a downward trend,and the people have higher requirements for the living environment.Concurrently,escalating public demand for enhanced living environments necessitates rigorous aquatic ecosystem assessment.To assess the current water ecological environment in Baiyangdian Lake and its primary upstream inflow river,the Juma River,we collected water quality and ecological monitoring data fromthree main precipitation stations in Baiyangdian Lake and three stations along the Juma River between 2021 and 2022.The data included physical and chemical parameters,phytoplankton,zooplankton,and other relevant indicators.Using the National Surface Water Quality Standard(GB3838-2002),Technical Specifications for Surface Water Resources Assessment(SL395-2007),and Technical Guidelines for River-Lake Health Evaluation(SL/T793-2020),we evaluated the water quality and ecological health status ofBaiyangdian Lake and its upstream Juma River.
