摘要

Abstract

One of the major challenges facing modern dairy cow husbandry is low pregnancy rates,a major contributing factor of which is believed to be due to progesterone(P4)deficiency.P4,secreted by the corpus luteum,is an essential hormone for the maintenance of pregnancy and plays a crucial role in embryo attachment and development.To improve pregnancy rates in dairy cows,researchers have proposed several strategies to regulate P4 levels,including such techniques as supplementing exogenous P4 and utilizing gonadotropin-releasing hormone(GnRH)and human chorionic gonadotropin(hCG)to promote endogenous P4 synthesis.This paper reviewed the mechanism of P4 regulation in the early embryonic development,endometrial receptivity and maternal immune tolerance and other embryo attachment-related processes in dairy cows,and explored the effects of different P4 regulation techniques on the pregnancy rate of dairy cows,aiming to provide a reference for the research and application of embryo attachment techniques based on the regulation of P4 in improving the reproductive efficiency of dairy cows,reducing the cost of breeding and promoting the sustainable development of the dairy industry.
