摘要

Abstract

Edge computing has become a key technology for realizing 5G communication standards.By offloading users'termi-nal tasks to edge servers with computing and storage resources nearby,the service quality is improved.Aiming at the placement of edge servers,this paper proposes an edge server placement method ESPFA(Edge Server Placement based on Firefly Algorithm)that minimizes user latency in 5G networks.The average user delay,edge server load difference and edge server average resource utilization are weighted,which used as an indicator to measure the overall performance of the system.The simulation results show that,compared with the mainstream placement methods,when the number of edge servers is 10,the firefly algorithm proposed in this paper has a significant effect of reducing the delay,which is 16.2%lower than that of the traditional K-Means algorithm,and the algorithm system has excellent performance,respectively.Compared with the Random algorithm and the Top-K algorithm,it is improved by 9.4%and 22.6%.
