The Research on Urban Design Method Based on Urban Context:Taking the City Design of Panggong New District of Xiangyang as an Example

Abstract
It is an excellent tradition of Chinese urban design that combining urban design with urban context.Taking Panggong New District of Xiangyang as an example,this paper analyzes the course of urban development in Xiangyang,as well as the relationship with the surrounding landscape environment and puts forward the general idea of"inherit the context and create the whole"which is the basic method of urban design in ancient China.This method can be applied to the city design of Panggong New District.It is of great significance to the construction of contemporary Xiangyang City and the contemporary city design in China.关键词
