Abstract
Although the COVID-19 pandemic has officially ended,studying urban development during this period remains highly significant as it helps identify key factors influencing the spread of the virus and provides strategic references for the post-pandemic era.An analysis of data from the peak periods of the pandemic in 16 Chinese cities revealed that foreign trade and tourism were major drivers of the outbreak.The cumulative number of confirmed cases was negatively correlated with the percentage of workforce in the tertiary sector and positively correlated with transportation levels.However,socio-economic development and the distribution of medical resources had negligible effects on the spread of the pandemic.Based on these findings,this paper recommends the strengthening epidemic prevention management of foreign trade and tourism,optimizing urban population density and spatial layout,and improving the transportation system to mitigate the risks of virus transmission and enhance public health response capabilities.关键词
