摘要

Abstract

In order to study the relationship between metakaolin content and mechanical properties,the tensile and compressive strength,elas-tic modulus and stress-strain curves of metakaolin and lime improved subgrade expansive soil were studied by unconfined strength test and splitting test.The results show that with the increase of metakaolin content,the optimum water content of expansive soil increases and the dry density decreases.The unconfined stress-strain curve of metakaolinite-lime modified expansive soil has a significant peak value.The compres-sive strength increases with the increase of metakaolin content.When the content of metakaolin exceeds 6%,the increase rate of compressive strength decreases.In short,the optimal content of metakaolin is 6%.The above research provides experience for improving the performance of subgrade expansive soil.
