Treatment of Sanders typeⅡcalcaneal fractures by using row-screw technique combined with support screws fixation under arthroscopy

Abstract
Objective To investigate the effect of arthroscopic assisted row-screw technique combined with support screw fixation in the treatment of Sanders typeⅡcalcaneal fracture.Methods The 17 patients with Sanders typeⅡcalcaneal fractures were treated by row-screw technique combined with support screws fixation under arthroscopy.Op-eration time,fracture healing time and complications were recorded.AOFAS ankle-hindfoot score was used to evaluate the effect.Results All fractures were anatomically reduced.The operation time was 62～80 min.All patients were followed up for 9～18 months.All fractures healed within 8～12 weeks.There were no postoperative complications such as incision infection,skin necrosis,varus deformity and traumatic arthritis.Subtalar joint stiffness occurred in 1 case after removal of internal fixation,and improved after strengthening functional rehabilitation exercise.At the last follow-up,AOFAS ankle-hindfoot score was used to evaluate the curative effect:excellent in 8 cases,good in 7 cases,fair 2 cases,with an excellent-good rate of 15/17.Conclusions The treatment of Sanders type Ⅱ calcaneal fracture with row-screw technique combined with support screws fixation under arthroscopy has less trauma,fewer complica-tions and faster functional recovery of ankle joint.关键词
