Interaction between Novel Writing and Translation and the Rise of Modern Fiction

Abstract
The translation of novels during the late Qing Dynasty and early Republic of China era was a crucial factor in the early development of modern Chinese novels.The modern novelist translators who grew up in the late Qing Dynasty,with their judgment of the focus of Chinese literary construction,endowed their translated works with strong concern for reality and a strong sense of enlightenment.The participation of translated novels in the development of modern novels during the late Qing Dynasty and early Republic of China era was dominated by modern novelist translators.Modern novelist translators engage in literary creation through the interaction of translation and creation,with an organic unity of the dual identities of translator and author.They are both champions of foreign literature and leaders in the development direction of modern novels through the efforts of creators.Taking Lu Xun's translated novels as an example,it can be seen that the translation of the Collection of Foreign Novels is not only an attempt full of modern meaning,but also an excellent example of the participation of translated novels in the construction of modern novel genres by using Lu Xun's creation as a"carrier"to intervene in modern novels.关键词
