Exploration and Practice on the Organization and Implementation Modes of Cancer Screening Program in Urban Areas Based on County Medical Communities

Abstract
Objective:To explore the organization and management modes for the assessment,screening,and early diagnosis and treatment of high-risk groups of common cancers in urban areas with the construction of county medical commu-nities,and establish a county-level cancer prevention and control mechanism.Methods:Taking Jintang County,Chengdu,Sichuan Province as an example,with the construction of the county medical community led by Jintang First People's Hospi-tal,the county medical community members were organized to carry out the cancer screening program in urban areas.Ques-tionnaire surveys were used and molecular marker detection were performed to conduct risk assessment and clinical screening on the target group.We developed the overall plan,and implemented it through publicizing,recruiting and exploring incen-tive mechanisms.Results:There were 2,267 high-risk cases of 3,539 cases after initial screening in all medical community members,and the clinical screening was completed in 1,011 cases,with a task completion rate of more than 100%.The high-risk assessment rate reached 64.06%,which was close to the average level of high-risk assessment rate of cancer screening in urban areas in Sichuan Province from 2019 to 2023.There was a dropout rate in high-risk screening and clinical screening in each medical community member.The compliance with liver cancer and breast cancer screening was relatively good.The high-risk rate in middle-aged and elderly men was relatively high.The proportion of completed health economic questionnaires at Jintang First People's Hospital was at a high level among leading screening institutions in the year.Con-clusion:Jintang County has achieved certain results in cancer screening in urban areas through a county medical community.However,further improvement is still needed,including more economical and reasonable cancer control and prevention solu-tions,improving the quality of early diagnosis and treatment,and continuously carrying out health education for residents.In the future,an integrated cancer prevention center can be established with modern screening technologies.关键词
