Abstract
To alleviate the water resource supply-demand conflicts in the Hotan River Basin,a joint regulation model for reservoir groups was established with the objective of minimizing total water shortages for both current and planned future years.The Genetic Algorithm(GA)was employed to solve this model.The results indicate that the joint regulation of plain area reservoirs is insufficient to effectively address the water supply-demand imbalance;it is challenging to meet the design requirements for water supply assurance rates for agricultural irrigation and ecological water use.In contrast,through the joint regulation of mountain area reservoirs,there is a significant improvement in the assurance rates across various sectors.Under three typical hydrological conditions—abundant,normal,and dry years—the saved water volumes reached 170 million m3,197 million m3,and 335 million m3,respectively,thereby fully tapping into the water-saving potential of the Hotan River Basin.This research provides valuable reference for the scientific management of water resources within the basin.关键词
