摘要

Abstract

Pumped storage is recognized as a large-scale flexible energy storage power source in the new power system,playing a key role in peak load and frequency regulation.Seawater pumped storage power stations use seawater as the working medium,and theoretically enjoy many advantages,such as the abundance of marine resources,the simplicity of construction conditions,and independence from freshwater resources.However,seawater storage still faces some technical and economic challenges in practical applications.This paper discusses the development status and practical feasibility of seawater pumped storage,points out that there is no balance between its economy,environmental protection and application value,and emphasizes the need for more research and demonstration work.
