Effects of different levels of composite probiotic preparations on growth performance,immune function,antioxidant function,and rumen flora of fattening Hu sheep

Abstract
The experiment aimed to investigate the effects of different levels of compound probiotic preparations on the growth performance,immune function,antioxidant function,and rumen flora of fattening Hu sheep.Sixty male Hu lambs,aged two months and with similar body weights(19.65±1.24)kg,were randomly divided into four groups,with three replicates per group and five fattening lake sheep per replicate.The control group was fed a basal diet,while the low-dose,medium-dose,and high-dose groups were supplemented with 1,2,and 3 g/kg of compound probiotics,respectively.The pre-test period was 10 days and the formal test period was 60 days.The results showed that the final body weight(FBW)and average daily gain(ADG)of the experimental group were significantly higher than those of the control group(P<0.05),and the feed-to-gain ratio(F/G)was significantly lower than that of the control group(P<0.05).The contents of helper T cells(CD4)and cytotoxic T cell(CD8)in each experimental group were significantly higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).The immunoglobulin M(IgM)content,superoxide dismutase(SOD)activity,and total antioxidant capacity(T-AOC)in the serum of the medium-dose group were higher than those in other groups(P<0.05).The relative abundance of Christensenella in the medium dose group was significantly increased(P<0.05),and the relative abundance of Prevotella in the experimental groups was significantly decreased(P<0.05).The study indicates that adding two g/kg of compound probiotic preparations to the basal diet can improve the growth performance,immune capacity,and antioxidant performance of fattening Hu sheep,and regulate the balance of rumen microecology.关键词
