Effects of chestnut bur tannic acid on growth performance,diarrhea rate,intestinal morphology,and intestinal microbial of weaned piglets

Abstract
The experiment aimed to explore the effects of chestnut bur tannic acid on the growth performance,diarrhea rate,intestinal morphology,and intestinal microbial of weaned piglets.A total of 120'Duroc × Landrace × Yorkshire'crossbred weaned piglets at 28 days of age were selected and randomly divided into five groups,with four replicates per group and six piglets per replicate.The control group was fed a basal diet.The low-dose chestnut bur tannic acid group was fed the basal diet supplemented with 500 mg/kg of chestnut bur tannic acid.The medium-dose chestnut bur tannic acid group was fed the basal diet supplemented with 750 mg/kg of chestnut bur tannic acid.The high-dose chestnut bur tannic acid group was fed the basal diet supplemented with 1 000 mg/kg of chestnut bur tannic acid.The chestnut wood tannic acid group was fed the basal diet supplemented with 750 mg/kg of chestnut wood tannic acid.The pre-test lasted for 7 days and the experiment lasted for 28 days.The results showed that the average daily feed intake of the low-and medium-dose chestnut bur tannic acid groups and the chestnut wood tannic acid group was significantly higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).The average daily weight gain and final weight of experimental groups were significantly higher than those of the control group(P<0.05).The diarrhea rate of experimental groups from day 1 to day 28 was significantly lower than that of the control group(P<0.05).The villus height of the duodenum in experimental groups was higher than that of the control group(P>0.05),and the villus height of the ileum in the medium-dose chestnut bur tannic acid group was significantly higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).The experimental groups could significantly increase the Simpson and Shannon indices of the intestine(P>0.05).The low-and high-dose chestnut bur tannic acid groups and the chestnut wood tannic acid group had the effect of reducing the relative abundance of Proteobacteria(P>0.05).The study indicates that chestnut bur tannic acid has the effect of improving growth performance and reducing the diarrhea rate,can improve the intestinal development of piglets,and increase the α-diversity of intestinal flora.Adding 750 mg/kg of chestnut bur tannic acid to the diet of weaned piglets is relatively effective.关键词
