National presence:the symbolic construction of the role of border guard in the border county media center
摘要
Abstract
With the help of semiotics theory,this article focuses on the symbolic communication practice of the role of border guards in the Xinjiang border county integrated media center,and analyzes the communication symbols by using roland barthes's symbolic secondary meaning system to explore the symbolic construction mechanism of the Xinjiang border county integrated me-dia center's communication of the role of border guards.This study analyzes the linguistic and non-linguistic symbols used by the Xinjiang border county integrated media center in the communication of the role of border guards and finds that the border county in-tegrated media center integrates the grand narrative of"family and country"into the narrative symbols of the role of border guards,and effectively integrates the audio-visual symbols such as words,images and audio,and realizes the coding of symbols in the mean-ing space of the intercommunication between the audience and the media center.The encoding and decoding of symbols are realized in the meaning space.The border counties'media centers use the"five-star red flag"and other identifying physical symbols to strengthen the sense of national identity,materialize the presence of the country,and construct the"public opinion field"with the pa-triotic myths shared by members of the Chinese cultural community,so as to gather public opinion.In the"public opinion field",so-cial consensus is gathered,and the strong cultural meanings of the shared imagery symbols arouse the emotional resonance of the au-dience,in the emotional resonance of the audience,the corps and the local border county media centers use the symbols to jointly draw a communication picture of the country's presence.关键词
