Abstract
Objective To investigate the prevalence rate and its influencing factors of hemorrhoids among officers and soldiers in southern China. Methods From April 2019 to September 2022,a questionnaire survey and anal examination were conducted during the physical examination of officers and soldiers in a military unit in southern region. The questionnaire was a self-made"Investigation Form on Colorectal Diseases in Military Officers and Soldiers",and SPSS2.0 software was used for chi-square test and multivariate lo-gistic regression statistical analysis. Results A total of 1251 survey subjects were included in the survey, including 165 hemorrhoid patients, and the prevalence rate of hemorrhoids was 13.2%.Univariate analysis showed that living conditions, alcohol consumption, perianal cleaning, suppression of bowel movements, duration and frequency of defecation, prolonged sitting and standing, different po-sitions,and years of service were all factors affecting the prevalence of hemorrhoids(P<0.05),while weight-bearing training,vegeta-ble and fruit intake, and exercise intensity were not factors affecting the incidence of hemorrhoids.Multivariate logistic regression anal-ysis showed that inhibition of defecation(OR=4.880,95%IC:3.082-7.727),long defecation time>10 min(OR=15.363,95%IC:7.655-30.833),defecation 1-2 times/day(OR=2.227,95%IC:1.203-4.124),defecation>2 times/day(OR=12.752,95%IC:5.830-27.893),and prolonged sitting and standing(OR=1.657,95%IC:1.063-2.638)were risk factors for hemor-rhoids,while perianal cleaning>5 times/week was a protective factor(OR=0.368,95%IC:0.156-0.870).Conclusions The prevalence rate of hemorrhoids among officers and soldiers is 13.2%,which is related to factors such as perianal cleaning, inhibition of bowel movements, duration and frequency of defecation, and prolonged sitting and standing.关键词
