Abstract

In order to improve forage efficiency,save forage resources and protect grassland ecology,this experiment compared and studied the forage efficiency and feeding benefits of grazing feeding with high and low growth rate under the energy seasonal variation scenarios of Leymus chinensis steppe.The results showed that the cumulative metabolic consumption of high growth rate(0.2 kg/d)was 38.1%lower than that of low growth rate(0.1 kg/d),and the cumulative consumption of crude protein,calcium and total phosphorus was reduced by 29.5%,38.8%and 38.1%,respectively.The forage efficiency of grazing with high growth rate was 23.2%,which was 90.2%higher than that of low growth rate.High growth rate can be achieved by using energy feed corn supplement.Grazing with high growth rate saved 35%of feed costs compared with grazing with low growth rate.High growth rate grazing reduced the number of grazing days,saved metabolic energy and protein and mineral nutrients,improved forage efficiency,reduced feed costs,and ultimately improved feeding efficiency,which had great significance for the development of high-efficiency grassland animal husbandry and the protection of grassland ecology.
