Abstract

[Objective]This design is based on data visualization to strengthen lower limb muscle strength training,ensuring safety while enhancing ankle and foot stability and flexibility.Through numerical feedback during training,patients are constantly reminded and provided feedback.[Methods]The ankle training device included a standing inclined plate and a toe fixing sleeve.Patients were guided to complete the actions of stepping down with the front foot(ankle joint resistance plantar flexion exercise)and stepping down with the heel(ankle joint resistance dorsiflexion exercise)according to their body position.The training was performed 3 to 4 times a day for 30 minutes each time.A case study was used to verify the clinical effectiveness of this ankle training device.After 4 weeks of intervention,the lower limb Fugl-Meyer score,Berg Balance Scale,peak torque measured by an isokinetic training device of patients were all improved,and their daily living ability was significantly improved.[Results]After 4 weeks of intervention,the Fugl-Meyer lower limb score of stroke patients increased from 25 to 32,the Berg Balance Scale score increased from 28 to 43,and the activity of daily living(ADL)score increased from 33 to 90.In addition,patients can walk 3 km in the community and complete laundry and cooking tasks,achieving full self-care.The extensor peak torque of patients with lower limb injuries was 24 N/m,the flexor peak torque was 32 N/m,and the hamstring/quadriceps(H/Q)ratio was 38%.The range of motion of the left knee joint was 5° to 50°,the International Knee Document Commitee(IKDC)score was 15 points,and the Visual Analogue Scale(VAS)score was 4 points.After 4 weeks of ankle resistance training,the extensor peak torque was 32 N/m,the flexor peak torque was 38 N/m,and the H/Q ratio was 46%.The range of motion of the left knee joint reached 3° to 140°,and the IKDC score increased to 46 points,and the VAS score decreased to 2 points.[Conclusion]The ankle training device based on data visualization can not only strengthen the lower limb strength of stroke and lower limb fracture patients,improve their motor performance ability,and enable them to live independently,which has clinical practical value.
