Abstract
Objective To promote the intelligent and information-based development of hospital Pharmacy Intravenous Admixture Service(PIVAS).Methods The workflows of the automatic pre-dissolving instrument for vial bottles(hereinafter referred to as the pre-dissolving instrument)before and after application were sorted out.The varieties and quantities of pre-dissolved drugs in our hospital from December 5,2022 to March 4,2023(before application)and March 5,2023 to June 5,2023(after application)were extracted from the hospital information system to compare the total amount of pre-dissolved drugs and the number of dispensing personnel before and after application.The daily dispensing time of finished product infusion was obtained by the ″intelligent handheld system of the PIVAS″,the cases of infusion discoloration induced by syringe mixing and the cases of incomplete dissolution of drugs were obtained based on the drug dispensing errors recorded by personnel outside the warehouse to compare the dispensing time and errors before and after application.Results After the application of the pre-dissolving instrument,the workflow was simplified(decreased by one work process).There were five pre-dissolved drugs,and the daily dosages before and after application were similar(P>0.05),the dispensing personnel decreased from four to two.After the application of the pre-dissolving instrument,the daily dispensing time of finished product infusion significantly shortened,the cases of infusion discoloration induced by syringe mixing and the cases of incomplete dissolution of drugs significantly decreased(P<0.05).Conclusion The application of pre-dissolving instrument has optimized the workflows of infusion dispensing,shortened working time,decreased human resources and work errors,which can promote the intelligent construction and development of PIVAS work in hospitals.关键词
