Advances in quantitative CT assessment of changes in skeletal muscle mass in patients with breast cancer
摘要
Abstract
Breast cancer(BC)is currently the most prevalent malignant tumor in women worldwide.Skeletal muscle mass reduction is a factor that affects the efficacy and prognosis of BC treatment,and the toxic response to chemotherapy.However,there is still a lack of skeletal muscle mass monitoring in clinical follow-ups.Quantitative CT(QCT)has emerged as an effective tool to monitor and quantify changes in skeletal muscle mass.This paper reviews the causes of skeletal muscle mass loss in patients with BC and the application value of QCT in osteoporosis and sarcopenia.It focuses on the study advances in the effect of changes in skeletal muscle mass on the efficacy of neoadjuvant therapy,prognosis prediction,and assessment of chemotherapeutic toxicity,which can help to develop more precise and individualized treatment plans clinically,and provide a new approach of diagnosis and treatment to improve the efficacy and prognosis in patients with BC.关键词
