Correlation Analysis between Hyperhomocysteinemia and Renal Function in Patients with Colorectal Polyps

Abstract
Objective:To explore the correlation between homocysteine(Hcy)level and renal function in patients with colorectal polyps.Method:A total of 121 cases with colorectal polyps who underwent colonoscopy in Lingshan County People's Hospital from July 2021 to July 2023 were selected as the study objects.According to serum Hcy level,the patients were divided into control group(Hcy<15 μmol/L)with 77 cases,and hyperhomocysteinemia(HHcy)group(Hcy≥15 μmol/L)with 44 cases.The clinical features and renal function of the two groups were compared,and the correlation between serum Hcy level and renal function in patients with colorectal polyps was analyzed.Result:Compared with control group,serum creatinine,urea and uric acid levels in HHcy group were significantly higher,with statistical significance(P<0.05).According to Pearson correlation coefficient analysis,serum creatinine and uric acid levels were positively correlated with Hcy levels in two groups(r=0.407,0.315,P<0.05).Conclusion:Serum creatinine and uric acid levels are associated with serum Hcy levels,and for patients with HHcy levels of colorectal polyps,it is necessary to monitor renal function.关键词
