Effect of aerobic and resistance exercise on muscle strength and fatigue of patients with endocrine therapy for prostate cancer
摘要
Abstract
Objective To explore the effect of exercise intervention on muscle weakness and fatigue in patients with endocrine therapy for prostate cancer.Methods From June 2018 to September 2023,60 patients with endocrine therapy for prostate cancer were selected as the research subject,and were randomly divided into intervention group and control group with 30 cases in each group.The control group was given routine care,while the intervention group was given exercise intervention for 12 weeks on the basis of routine care,including aerobic exercise and resistance training.Cancer fatigue scale(CFS)was used to evaluate the degree of fatigue,grip strength meter and 30-second chair standing test were used to evaluate the muscle strength of upper and lower limbs,and the european organization for research and treatment of cancer quality of life questionnaire(QLQ-C30)and abbreviated version of the expanded prostate cancer index composite instrument(EPIC-26)were used to evaluate the quality of life of patients.Results Before the intervention,there was no significant difference in CFS score,muscle strength and quality of life score between the two groups(P>0.05).After the intervention,the scores of CFS,muscle strength and quality of life in the intervention group were better than those in the control group,and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Aerobic and resistance exercise for patients with endocrine therapy for prostate cancer can effectively improve their muscle strength,reduce fatigue and improve their quality of life.关键词
