Abstract

This study aimed to explore the effects of saline-alkali stress on physiological indexes of oat seedlings of two varieties(Qinqiong and Menglong),and screen out varieties with stronger saline-alkali tolerance,seeds of Qinqiong and Menglong were used as experimental materials for pot culture.Saline-alkali stress treatment was applied to the 28-day-old oat seedlings,and the chlorophyll content,soluble sugar content,soluble protein content,malondialdehyde(MDA)content,proline content,and peroxidase(POD)activity were measured.The results showed that with the gradual increase of saline-alkali stress concentration,the chlorophyll content of oat seedlings of both varieties showed a downward trend,while the soluble sugar content,soluble protein content,MDA content,proline content,and POD activity all showed a gradual upward trend.This indicates that oats enhance their stress resistance by regulating internal metabolism and stress responses when facing saline-alkali stress.By comparing and analyzing the data of various physiological indexes of Qinqiong and Menglong,it can be seen that Qinqiong has stronger saline-alkali tolerance than Menglong,and it is an oat variety with stronger saline-alkali tolerance.
