How to Revitalize Rural Industries:Experience and Lessons from Japan
摘要
Abstract
The revitalization of rural industry is a critical yet challenging issue in China's current rural revitalization.Examining the experience and lessons of developed countries that pioneered industrialization and modernization in agricultural and rural development offers valuable insights for developing countries.Japan,located in East Asia like China,shares many similarities in terms of resource endowments,agricultural production models,and cultural attributes.During its industrialization process,Japan implemented measures such as introducing agricultural science and technology,ensuring food security,developing agricultural education,and promoting farmers'income growth to revitalize rural industries.Japan also addressed the development of rural industries at an early stage.However,challenges remain in dealing with the outflow of young rural population and developing large-scale agriculture.Crucially,its development that is achieved through aggression must be unequivocally condemned.While critically learning from Japan's successful experience,China's rural industrial development should focus on building our own rural industries while fostering collaborative development with other countries,which requires the integration of international and domestic resources,the cultivation of industrial momentum,the promotion of industrial integration,and the attraction of talent back to rural areas.关键词
