Abstract
To explore the variation patterns of the"23·7"catastrophic flood in the Yongding River Ba-sin,the inverse distance weighting method was employed for spatial interpolation of rainfall according to the monitoring data from 24 rainfall stations.The spatial and temporal distribution,recurrence period,and hourly heavy rainfall of rainfall events with different durations were analyzed.The results showed that the spatial distribution of rainfall exhibited extreme characteristics,with rainfall primarily concentrated in the Guanting Mountain Gorge,where the average rainfall reached 573 mm.The 1-hour rainfall was highly localized,with the highest values near Yanjiatai station.The spatial distribution of maximum rainfall over 24 and 72 hours showed similar patterns,with high values near Qingshui and Datai stations.The hourly rainfall intensity during the heavy rainstorm was high,with the hourly rainfall intensity at Qingshui sta-tion accounting for 63%total rainfall.The characteristics of hourly rainfall for different intensity levels varied by region.In the Yongding River Basin and Guanting Mountain Gorge,the proportions of rainfall in the 10-20 mm range were 45%and 37%,respectively,playing a dominant role in the total rainfall.The probability of ≥20 mm hourly rainfall in the area below Sanjiadian was only 8%,but it accounted for 40%of the total rainfall.The findings provide technical support for flood warning and disaster prevention.关键词
