Abstract
To analyze the function of Zhaitang Reservoir,a one-dimensional hydrodynamic model was developed based on the"23·7"catastrophic flood in the Haihe River Basin.The funciotn of Zhaitang Reservoir in the flood control has been evaluated by comparing measured data with model inversions without this reservoir.The findings indicated that the flood peak in the mountain gorge basin obtained from the model inversion aligned closely with the measured data,with an average error of less than 2%.However,the flood peak errors for Sanjiadian and Lugouqiao downstream of Yanchi were relatively larger,with the model-predicted peak being about 30%lower than the observed flood peak.Zhaitang Reservoir played a crucial role in flood detention and peak shifting during the"23·7"flood in the Haihe River Basin.The research provides technical insights for flood control operations in reservoir-based river basin management.关键词
