我国公众互联网使用对县级政府公信力的影响
A study of the impact of public Internet use on the credibility of county governments in China:An analysis based on CSS 2021 data

Abstract
Government credibility is the public's trust evaluation based on the government's performance of its duties,and it is the theme of the government's eternal pursuit.Based on the theory of gatekeepers and the theory of media malaise,employing the China Social Survey(CSS)as the source of data,the article studies in depth the impact of the public's use of the Internet on the credibility of county governments in the digital age with a comprehensive use of multiple regression and factor analysis.The study found that in the new era,the credibility level of China's county-level government has increased from 2.59 in 2013 to 3.06 in 2021.The government trust levels of Internet users and non-Internet users also show a gradual incremental trend.Whether or not one uses the Internet significantly affects the level of public's trust in government,which is lower among Internet users than among non-Internet users;when the public uses the Internet and keeps a certain frequency of using the Internet,the frequency has no significant effect on the credibility of county governments,while a significant negative effect of the frequency on the credibility of county governments is brought about by the shift of the public from never using the Internet to using the Internet;there is no significant difference in the impact of different ways of Internet use on the credibility of county governments,and neither developmental use nor recreational use significantly affects the credibility of county governments.Meanwhile,as for the issue whether or not to use the Internet negatively affects the credibility of county governments,the education level of individuals plays an inhibiting role.关键词
