Abstract

The current practice of optimizing groove sections based on engineering experience and analog methods often leads to low design efficiency due to extensive numerical simulations and indoor experiments.Taking the Ⅲ-type groove section of the Nanjing Heyan Road Tunnel Project as an example,this study comprehensively considered the influence of groove section slope,depth,and width on the waterproofing performance of sealing gaskets.By combining numerical simulation and agent model,an efficient groove section optimization scheme was designed and implemented.This scheme employed the optimal Latin hypercube experimental design method for the design of the experimental plan.A three-dimensional computational model was established using finite element software to simulate the assembly compression process of segment joint sealing gaskets,obtaining the effective leakage rates between gaskets under different experimental parameters.A combination forecasting model based on Kriging,response surface,and support vector machine regression models was proposed to predict the effective leakage rates between gaskets.Subsequently,by utilizing the combination model,with groove section slope,depth,and width as optimization variables and the effective leakage rate between gaskets as the objective variable,a genetic algorithm was employed to obtain the optimal combination parameters of slope,depth,and width.The research results indicate that the use of combinational surrogate models achieves rapid and accurate calculation of leakage rates between sealing gaskets,saving computational time and significantly improving optimization efficiency.The use of optimized groove sections has significantly improved the waterproofing performance at the joints of the segments compared to pre-optimization,verifying the effectiveness of the proposed method.In comparison to single prediction models,the combination forecasting model yields more accurate results with lower errors and better prediction performance.The proposed models and methods can serve as a reference and guide for gasket and groove section optimization design.
