Research Progress of Radial Extracorporeal Shock Wave Therapy for Post-Stroke Spasticity

Abstract
One of the common complications in stroke patients is muscle spasticity,which not only seriously affects the pa-tient's motor ability,but can also may lead to sensory disturbance,persistent pain,muscle stiffness,reduced range of motion of the joints,and decreased sensitivity.This can cause patients to have mobility difficulty,increase the risk of falls,and reduce their quality of life.Muscle spasticity can also cause patients to feel frustrated and depressed,which can lead to psychological problems such as depression and anxiety,further affecting the effectiveness and progress of rehabilitation treatment.Therefore,safe and effective anti-spasticity therapy can have a positive effect on improving the quality of life of patients.Clinically,there are various treatment meth-ods for muscle spasticity after stroke,including physical therapy,drug therapy and surgical intervention.In recent years,extracorpo-real shock wave therapy has been gradually applied to the treatment of muscle spasticity because of its good therapeutic effect and non-invasive advantages.This article reviews the related literature on shock wave therapy for post-stroke spasticity in recent years and summarizes its therapeutic mechanism,therapeutic effect and future development trends.关键词
