摘要

Abstract

In order to explore the effects of different harvesting periods and sunshine duration on the germplasm of Epimedium myrianthum Stearn,seeds were collected and the seed length,seed width,thousand-seed weight,moisture content,and staining rate were determined,followed by correlation and principal component analysis.The results showed that under the same conditions,the seed quality from late-maturity period was superior to that of seeds from other harvesting periods,the seeds from mid-maturity period had second best quality,and the seed quality from early-maturity period was the lowest.Additionally,the seeds from the forest understory with shorter sunshine duration had better quality than those from the forest understory with longer sunshine duration.Therefore,for the breeding of Epimedium myrianthum Stearn,seeds from the late-maturity period with shorter sunshine duration under forest understory should be prioritized as seed sources.This study provided a feasible theoretical reference for the collection,screening,breeding,and dormancy-breaking of Epimedium myrianthum Stearn seeds.
