Abstract

Lanthanum-based metal-organic skeleton materials(La-MOFs)have a good performance on phosphate adsorption,but traditional powder materials are not easy to be recycled and are difficult to be applied in the practical environment sites.In this study,La-MOFs powder materials were synthesized by a solvothermal method,and they were mixed with polyacrylonitrile(PAN)spinning solution,then the La-MOFs/PAN fiber materials with different La-MOFs loadings were prepared by an electrostatic spinning method,their adsorption performance towards phosphorus were explored.Their characterization results by X-ray diffraction(XRD),specific surface and pore size analysis(BET),Fourier-transform infrared(FT-IR)spectroscopy(FT-IR)and scanning electron microscopy(SEM)showed that La-MOFs were uniformly loaded in PAN nanofibers with a good crystallinity.La-MOFs/PAN fiber materials with 9%loading had the maximum phosphate adsorption,and phosphate adsorption was mainly dependent on the La-MOFs loading on the fiber materials.The adsorption isotherm results showed that the maximum phosphorus adsorption amount by La-MOFs/PAN fiber material was 42.17 mg·g-1.The material could maintain a better phosphorus adsorption effect at pH 6~7.In the presence of competing anions and cations,the material had a high selectivity to phosphate.The regeneration effect of the La-MOFs/PAN fiber material was good,and the stable adsorption performance maintained after three recycles.Combined with the characterization results,the phosphate adsorption mechanism on La-MOFs/PAN fiber material were identified as electrostatic attraction,inner sphere complexation and precipitation.This study can provide a theoretical basis and technical reference for the practical application of La-MOFs materials in phosphorus adsorption.
