Abstract

APSTAR-6E,which is the first Geostationary Earth Orbit(GEO)all-electric propul-sion communication satellite of China,represents the first use of the DFH-3E satellite platform.It is equipped with 25 Ku user beams and 3 Ka gateway station beams,providing a comprehensive coverage of Indonesia with a communication capacity of over 30Gbit/s.The satellite has accom-plished a large-range,fully autonomous and all-electric propulsion orbit transfer from the Low Earth Orbit(LEO)to GEO.And more than 20 key technologies,such as all-electric propulsion orbit transfer control,have been overcome.Flight results demonstrate that through the APSTAR-6E mission key technologies of all-electric propulsion satellite platform have been successfully over-come and validated.This signifies entry of China's first GEO all-electric propulsion satellite plat-form into global market,contributes to advancing China's communication satellite capabilities to world-leading level and showcases the substantial capability of China's aerospace industry.
