Two-Dimensional Digital Transformation Strategy and New Product Development Performance:The Moderating Role of Innovation Openness

Abstract
The key impact of digital transformation strategy(DTS)on new product development(NPD)performance is examined in the context of"digital-real integration development",and a sample of 272 valid enterprises is used to explore the mechanisms and intensi-ty differences of the two-dimensional DTS on NPD efficiency and NPD effectiveness,and to further verify the moderating role of inno-vation openness on the above-mentioned relationships.It is found that both production process digitization strategies(PPDS)and busi-ness model digitization strategies(BMDS)can promote NPD efficiency and the PPDS has a stronger positive effect,while both DTS can promote NPD effectiveness and the BMDS has a stronger positive effect.Meanwhile,stronger innovation openness not only positive-ly moderates the relationship between PPDS and NPD performance,but also enhances the positive effects between BMDS and the two dimensions of NPD performance.关键词
