Correlation of serum signal peptide Cub-Egf domain protein 1,micro RNA-141-3p,periosteum protein and fundus lesions in diabetic retinopa-thy patients

Abstract
Objective To investigate the correlation between signal peptide Cub-Egf like domain containing protein(SCUBE-1),microRNA-141-3p(miR-141-3p),periostin(POSTN)and fundus lesions in patients with diabetic retinopathy(DR).Methods A total of 147 diabetic patients admitted to Xinyu People's Hospital from April 2021 to April 2023 were se-lected and divided into DR group(n=103)and no DR group(n=44)according to whether they had concurrent DR.Serum levels of SCUBE-1,miR-141-3p and POSTN were compared between the two groups.The patients with DR were divided into non-proliferative type DR(n=60)and proliferative type DR(n=43)according to the pathological stages of DR,and the serum levels of SCUBE-1,miR-141-3p and POSTN were compared.Pearson correlation was used to analyze the correlation between serum SCUBE-1,miR-141-3p,POSTN levels and fundus lesions.The effects of SCUBE-1,miR-141-3p and POSTN on the severity of DR In diabetic patients were analyzed by multivariate logistic regression.Results The SCUBE-1 and POSTN levels in DR Group were higher than those in no-DR group,and miR-141-3p was lower than that in no-DR group,with statistical significances(P<0.05).The serum POSTN and SCUBE-1 in proliferative DR group were higher than those in non-proliferative DR group,and miR-141-3p were lower than those in non-proliferative DR group,with statistical significances(P<0.05).Pearson correlation analysis showed that miR-141-3p was negatively correlated with DR degree,while SCUBE-1 and POSTN were positively correlated with DR degree(P<0.05).Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that serum SCUBE-1 and POSTN were both risk factors affecting the severity of DR,while miR-141-3p was a pro-tective factor(P<0.05).Conclusion SCUBE-1,miR-141-3p and POSTN are closely related to the occurrence of DR and the degree of fundus lesions.Monitoring the changes of the three factors can guide clinical treatment,evaluate efficacy and predict the occurrence of fundus lesions.关键词
