Abstract
Objective To investigate the acceptance of dental general anesthesia(DGA)among parents of children with oral diseases in Panzhihua,and analyze related influencing factors,so as to provide reference for doctor-patient communication when recommending DGA treatment for children with oral diseases.Methods Convenient sampling method was used to se-lect parents of children under 1 8 years old who were admitted to the Stomatology Department of the Affiliated Hospital of Panzhihua College from January to December 2023.They were asked to fill in the questionnaire and the questionnaire were collected on the spot.The influencing factors of parents'acceptance of children's oral general anesthesia were analyzed.Re-sults Univariate analysis results show that there were statistically significant differences in visual analogue scale(VAS)value in different relationship with children,family area,parents have heard of DGA treatment,parents had general anesthesia ex-perience,children with acute symptoms such as toothache anesthesia,think DGA treatment will affect the child's intellectual development,think DGA treatment will affect the child's memory,parents think children need treated teeth,parents had ac-companied the number.The results of the multivariate analysis indicated that the father(β=0.148,B=9.095,95％CI:4.527-13.664),with previous general anesthesia experience(β=0.138,B=7.982,95％CI:3.645-12.320),had heard of DGA treatment(β=0.285,B=16.473,95％CI:11.948-20.998),with acute toothache symptoms(β=0.119,B=9.111,95％CI:3.514-14.707)and believed DGA would not affect children's intellectual development(β=-0.139,B=8.639,95％CI:-13.430-3.847)were influencing factors for acceptance(P＜0.05).Conclusion The acceptability of DGA by parents of children with children in Panzhihua is mostly at a medium to low level,which is due to various reasons.When dentists suggest the treatment plan to parents of children with related symptoms,they should patiently introduce and explain the problems that parents are worried about,so as to improve their awareness of the treatment mode and help them make better choices.关键词
