Abstract
Objective To explore the application effect of peer support in self-management ability of liver cirrhotic among patients undergoing endoscopic selective varices devascularization(ESVD)through exchange meeting in WeChat group and patient-friend.Methods A total of 60 patients with liver cirrhosis who underwent ESVD in the First Affiliated Hospital of University of USTC(Anhui Provincial Hospital)from March to September 2023 were selected as the research objects.Ac-cording to the random number table method,they were divided into control group and observation group,with 30 cases in each group.The control group was given routine nursing,while the observation group was given peer support nursing intervention based on WeChat group and patient-friend exchange meeting on the basis of routine nursing.In other words,patients participated in the weekly patient-friend exchange meeting organized by medical staff,shared disease management experience and emotional support among peers,learned popular science pushed in WeChat group and shared food diaries.Cirrhosis self-management ability,depression and anxiety scores were compared between the two groups.Results After 1 month of intervention,the scores of patients'self-management ability,including diet management,disease monitoring management,daily life management and medication management,were higher than those of the control group,while the scores of depression and anxiety were lower than those of the control group,with statistical significances(P＜0.05).Conclu-sion The peer support nursing intervention based on WeChat group and patient-friend exchange meeting can help improve the self-management ability of liver cirrhotic patients after ESVD,reduce the anxiety and depression of patients,improve the cognition of cirrhosis and enhance their confidence in overcoming the disease.关键词
