Abstract
In order to analyze the impact of bridge piers on river flood safety,the two newly built bridges on Baima river was taken as an example.MIKE21 FM hydrodynamic model was established to simulate the water level and flow field of river,the changes in water level and flow field before and after bridge construction was comparative analyzed.The results showed that the backwater height of the upstream water level caused by the bridge piers was relatively low.The change of the river flow field was mainly limited to the vicinity of the bridge.The flow velocity increased to some extent,while the change in the flow direction was relatively small.Overall,the changes in river flow regime were small before and after bridge construction.Increasing the bridge span can further reduce the impact of bridge piers on river flood discharge.The analysis results can provide technical references for bridge engineering design and flood control assessment.关键词
