Topology Optimization Design Characteristics of Bistable Mechanisms

Abstract
Due to their unique characteristics,bistable mechanisms are widely used in many applications such as deployable mechanisms and microswitches.Anti-interference capability of bistable mechanism is crucial,and the maximum and minimum reaction forces are the key parameters to determine the anti-interference capability of the mechanism.In order to improve the anti-interference capability of the bistable mechanism,a beam structure with double fixed ends is designed as a bistable mechanism by using the topology optimization method with the maximum and minimum reaction forces as the optimization objectives.The topology optimization is carried out by combining the software MATLAB with simulation software ABAQUS.Due to the difficulty of extracting the nonlinear topology optimization sensitivity analysis,an approximate expression of the sensitivity is used in the process of topology optimization.In order to prevent the occurrence of non-convergence during the finite element analysis,additional hyperelastic materials are added in the unit.Finite element simulation is used to extract the force displacement response as an optimization objective and strain energy of unit used as Approximate expression of sensitivity.The feasibility of the topology optimization design method is confirmed with the finite element analysis and experimental test.关键词
