Resident Needs-Based Analysis of Core Factors in the Renovation of Old Communities in Chongqing

Abstract
The renovation of old communities stands as a fundamental pillar of contemporary urban development.This study undertakes an in-depth examination of two contiguous,old communities in Chongqing,juxtaposed with exemplary cases post-renovation.The findings indicate a generally positive assessment of the community by its residents,albeit with a need for improvement in community service facilities.Residents place a high value on the maintenance of public order,the accessibility of public transportation,and the planning of public spaces and community green areas.Furthermore,the prevalence of surface parking and the lack of elevator facilities are identified as significant detractors from residential comfort.Future renovation designs must be meticulously crafted to honor resident preferences and needs,while concurrently preserving the community's cultural and historical heritage.关键词
